SAMFlows is a TOTAL WATERFLOW CONTROL SYSTEM that controls and manages water supplies, pump pressures and discharge valve operation automatically.
In the world of firefighting, every second counts, and the first five minutes on a fire scene are
especially critical.
The pump operator typically has around thirteen tasks to complete in order to supply initial attack crews and establish a water source.
GODIVA is bringing fire pumps into the 21st Century with the introduction of SAMFlows – an integrated, total waterflow control system, which provides a modern solution to ease the
pressure on firefighters in the most important moments, taking those thirteen pump operator tasks down to just three, with everything else handled by the SAMFlows system.
Meticulously designed with the modern firefighter in mind, this advanced system seamlessly integrates cutting-edge electronics that simplify controls, streamline operation,
enhance performance, optimise water flow and usage and ensure reliability even in the most challenging conditions.
KEY FEATURES OF SAMFLOWS:
MULTIPLE DISCHARGE CAPABILITY:
Automatically maintains up to 6 different discharge pressures, ensuring multiple lines can be deployed quickly, safely and efficiently
USER FRIENDLY SYSTEM:
Robust and Intuitive 10“ touch screen display makes operations easy, even when wet or wearing gloves. Quick operation of inlets and discharges with simple swipes of the screen, reducing deployment time on the fire scene significantly
WATER SOURCE SWITCHING:
Seamlessly switch between Tank, Hydrant, or Draft modes
SAFE:
The SPG (Suction Pressure Governor) system monitors hydrant inlet pressure, issues low-pressure warnings, and reduces engine speed to prevent water supply failure and pump cavitation
AUTOMATED PUMP PRIMING:
SAMFlows primes the pump and prepares the Tank to Pump line upon PTO engagement
REAL-TIME PRESSURE ADJUSTMENTS:
Adjust pressure live on any open discharge. This removes the need for manual operations and monitoring of pressures
SMARTCAFS VERSIONS:
Automates the balancing of water, foam, and air systems using quicksets
QUICKSET FUNCTIONALITY:
Deploy up to four preset configurations for immediate line opening
WARNING SYSTEM:
On-screen alerts and alarms warn the pump operator of potential issues, while the system helps to prevent pressure spikes, water hammer and loss of water, including cavitation detection – giving the operator the confidence and time to effectively focus on the scene and crew

BENEFITS OF DIFFERENT PRESSURES ACROSS LINES:
Different firefighting scenarios require different pressures. SAMFlows ensures that each line is perfectly suited to its task, enhancing the overall efficiency and safety of firefighting operations. For example, high-rise fires might need higher pressures, while ground-level operations might need lower pressures.
CUSTOMIZED WATER FLOW:
Each line can be set to the optimal pressure for its specific task, whether it’s for direct attack, cooling, or protecting exposures. This ensures that each line operates efficiently and effectively.
ENHANCED SAFETY:
By maintaining the correct pressure for each line, the risk of hose bursts or insufficient water flow is minimized, protecting both firefighters and equipment.
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:
Efficiently managing water pressure across multiple lines helps to conserve water and ensures that the available water supply is used optimally.
REDUCED WORKLOAD:
Automated pressure management reduces the need for constant manual adjustments, allowing firefighters to focus more on firefighting efforts rather than equipment management.
IMPROVED COORDINATION:
With each line operating at its optimal pressure, the overall coordination and effectiveness of the firefighting team are enhanced, leading to quicker and more effective fire suppression.
